So this keyboard is quite an oddball mostly because of the keycaps, but it is also a very high quality build and does everything they say it does Hall Effect wise and polling rate wise (true 8khz polling). The keycaps are definitely unique and take a bit of getting used to, but how many times are you going to see 5 LEDs under your spacebar??? So it's a bit quirky but the feel of the keys is really quite good, there's no stem wobble with the TTC KOM RGB switches and the RGB is very bright and very "gamery". The sound is very clacky which isn't my favorite sound but it is very crisp at least since nothing rattles. The web driver interface can be a bit daunting even after you figure out how to get it to use English because some parts of it are still in Chinese. The other issue I have with it is that even though all of the Hall Effect features are present, there no easy way to program normal macros with a macro recorder. So DKS works fine for multi-key presses, but there's no macro recorder for setting FN+key = macro. The external design and weight plate are also outstanding and very "Rainy 75". It would be nice if there were a Polypropylene or Polycarbonate plate option for a thockier sound because the TTC KOM magnetic switches are quite good and the rest of the keyboard construction is also quite good with no "ping" on the case at all. It would be nice to have more colorways for this thing as well, but for the price and the performance, this is an excellent gaming keyboard for sure! The only reason I took out a star for this review is really the lack of basic macro support.. I tried to use the VIA webapp to configure the board, but there isn't a JSON file for the Rainy 75 RT, only the Rainy 75. If macros could be programmed using VIA then I'd give this thing 6/5 stars!
There are no complaints about the performance.
I chose the Gateron Jade Pro model, but I replaced some switches like WASD with Gateron Jade Gaming switches to reduce switch wobble.
After calibration, there are no unintended activations of the Rapid Trigger.
The typing feel, weight, and premium feel of the case are all very satisfying in many aspects.
However, there is one point of dissatisfaction.
The design of the key switches is highly divisive.
It did not suit my preferences, so I purchased separate key switches and replaced them.
I wish they had released it with a more neutral design that would appeal to a wider audience without being polarizing.
